These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you,” “user,” or “customer”), and The Animal Republic (“we,” “us,” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the website located at www.theanimalrepublic.com (the “Site”), as well as any related media channels, mobile applications, or community boards associated with our business.

By accessing the Site, purchasing our products, enrolling in our referral program, or participating in our community boards, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Site and must discontinue use immediately.

1. Eligibility and User Representations

The Site is intended for users who are at least eighteen (18) years of age, or who have reached the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction of residence. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that:

  • All registration, billing, and shipping information you submit is true, accurate, current, and complete.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into these binding Terms and comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
  • You will not use the Site for any illegal, unauthorized, or fraudulent purpose.
  • Your use of the Site will not violate any applicable consumer protection, trade, or intellectual property laws.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise indicated, the Site, its source code, databases, website functionality, digital audio, text, editorial articles, photographic mockups, and all graphic illustrations—including our exclusive animal designs—are our proprietary property or licensed to us, and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and unfair competition laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the Site and download or print a copy of any portion of the content solely for your personal, non-commercial use. No part of the Site or our custom animal graphics may be copied, reproduced, aggregated, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express prior written permission.

3. Print-on-Demand E-Commerce and Manufacturing

The Animal Republic operates as an international retail and community business headquartered in the Republic of the Philippines, selling and shipping products globally.

  • Zero-Inventory Production: All physical products—including our premium t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and phone cases—are manufactured on demand through our third-party fulfillment partner, Printful, Inc. Each item is produced individually once your order is confirmed.
  • Fulfillment Facilities: Orders destined for North America are routed to production facilities located in Dallas, Texas, or Charlotte, North Carolina, or to international partner hubs based on geographic proximity.
  • Visual Mockups and Color Variance: We display realistic, professional product mockups to showcase our designs. While we make every effort to display the colors and textures of our apparel and accessories as accurately as possible, your computer or mobile screen settings may affect visual perception. We do not warrant that product colors, fabric drape, or phone case finishes will match screen displays with absolute uniformity.
  • Catalog Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, adjust pricing for, or discontinue any product or graphic design at any time without prior notice.

4. Pricing, Payments, and Taxes

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all transactions conducted on our storefront.

  • Payment Gateways: We accept payments through approved, secure payment processors, including PayPal and direct merchant processing channels. By submitting an order, you authorize us or our payment processors to charge the designated payment method for the total amount of your purchase, including applicable shipping fees and taxes.
  • Currency Architecture: We maintain a multi-currency switcher that automatically adapts pricing based on your geographic location. All transactions are settled in the currency displayed at checkout or converted by your payment provider.
  • Taxes: You are responsible for all applicable sales taxes, Value-Added Taxes (VAT), Goods and Services Taxes (GST), or customs import duties associated with your order. Taxes are calculated based on your shipping address and applied during the checkout process.

5. Shipping, Delivery, and Risk of Loss

Production, fulfillment, and delivery timeframes provided at checkout are estimates and are not guaranteed delivery dates. We are not liable for transit delays caused by customs clearance procedures, courier disruptions, severe weather events, or incomplete shipping addresses provided by the customer.

Title and risk of loss for all physical goods pass to you upon our delivery of the package to the shipping carrier. In the event of a damaged shipment or a package lost in transit, claims must be filed in accordance with our dedicated Refund and Returns Policy.

6. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

Because all items are custom-printed on demand the moment an order is confirmed, our return and refund standards are strictly regulated:

  • No Returns for Wrong Sizing or Buyer’s Remorse: We do not accept returns, process exchanges, or issue refunds for items ordered in the incorrect size, or if you simply change your mind. Detailed sizing charts are provided on every product page to assist you in making accurate purchasing decisions.
  • Damaged, Defective, or Misprinted Goods: Any claim regarding a manufacturing defect, misprinted graphic, or damaged item must be submitted via email to admin@theanimalrepublic.com within thirty (30) days of product delivery, accompanied by clear photographic proof. Verified claims are eligible for a free replacement or a full refund.
  • Lost Packages: Claims for packages lost in transit must be submitted no later than thirty (30) days after the estimated delivery date.

7. The Giving Back Initiative (IFAW Pledge)

The Animal Republic maintains a formal philanthropic pledge to donate one dollar ($1.00 USD) from every single product sold through our storefront directly to the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW). This initiative is an internal corporate commitment made by our company to support global wildlife rescue, habitat protection, and anti-cruelty operations. Purchases made on the Site represent standard commercial transactions for consumer goods and do not constitute tax-deductible charitable contributions by the customer.

8. Affiliate Partner Program

Approved partners enrolled in our referral program through SliceWP are subject to the following operating rules:

  • Commissions: Affiliates earn a flat $5.00 USD cash commission on every individual product sold through their verified referral link during our 30-day tracking cookie window.
  • Payouts: Affiliate payouts are issued monthly via PayPal to the registered PayPal email address provided upon enrollment. You are solely responsible for all tax liabilities associated with received commissions.
  • Prohibited Conduct: Affiliates may not engage in spam, deceptive advertising, cookie stuffing, bidding on our brand trademarks in search engine advertising, or making false medical or charitable claims. Violation of these rules results in immediate termination of the affiliate account and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.

9. Republic Community Submissions (Lost & Found Pet Board)

Our Site maintains a community-driven board under Category 5 (Republic Community) where users can submit alerts regarding missing or found domestic animals.

  • Public Display Consent: By completing and submitting our digital Lost & Found Form, you grant us an irrevocable, royalty-free license to publicly publish, display, and format your submitted pet photos, pet descriptions, city, state, and your personal contact details (phone number, email address, or Facebook link) on our searchable website.
  • Purpose and Accuracy: You represent that all information submitted is accurate and intended solely to assist in the legitimate recovery of a missing animal. You are prohibited from submitting false alerts, harassing third parties, or using the board for commercial solicitations.
  • Removal: If your pet is recovered or you wish to retract your listing, notify our team at admin@theanimalrepublic.com, and we will remove your personal contact details within twenty-four hours. We are not liable for third-party caching or search engine indexing that occurs while a listing is publicly displayed.

10. Prohibited Website Uses

You may not access or use the Site for any purpose other than that for which we make it available. As a user of the Site, you agree not to:

  • Systematically retrieve data or content from the Site to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, database, or directory without written permission from us.
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Site, including server firewalls and rate-limiting scripts.
  • Engage in unauthorized framing of or linking to the Site.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, Trojan horses, malware, or other materials that disrupt any party’s uninterrupted use of the Site.
  • Attempt to impersonate another user, administrator, or customer.
  • Use any automated system, including scripts, robots, scrapers, or offline readers, to access our databases or submit data to our forms.

11. Third-Party Websites and Affiliate Disclosures

The Site contains links to external websites, educational institutions, animal welfare registries, and commercial partner networks (including Amazon Associates). Such external websites are not investigated, monitored, or checked for accuracy by us. We do not endorse and are not responsible for any third-party websites accessed through the Site.

We adhere to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) disclosure standards. Portions of our educational articles and product roundups contain affiliate link placeholders or active referral links. If you make a purchase through these external links, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY CONTAINED HEREIN, OUR LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER AND REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF THE ACTION, WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO US DURING THE SIX (6) MONTH PERIOD PRIOR TO ANY CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless, including our subsidiaries, affiliates, and all of our respective officers, agents, partners, and employees, from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable legal fees and expenses, made by any third party due to or arising out of:

  • Your use of the Site or our physical products.
  • Your breach of these Terms.
  • Your violation of the rights of a third party, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Any user-generated content or missing pet listing you submit to our community boards.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the competent courts of the primary administrative jurisdiction in the Philippines, and you hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in such courts.

If you are a consumer residing within the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident, and nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as an EU consumer.

16. Modifications and Interruptions

We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the Site or these Terms at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. An updated “Last Updated” date will always be posted at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Site after revised Terms are posted constitutes your binding acceptance of the changes.

We cannot guarantee the Site will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, server-maintenance, or database capacity issues, resulting in temporary interruptions, delays, or errors. You agree that we have no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by your inability to access or use the Site during any downtime or discontinuance.
